“Linsanity’s” Modest Night Out and Partying

You would think that after the explosive past few weeks in the basketball world, Jeremy Lin would be celebrating his rise to fame and starting to exploit his status as a marketing phenomenon.  Unlike his fellow star teammates, the modest Taiwanese-American NBA superstar doesn’t rent out party buses, go crazy with his female fans, or say ridiculous things to reporters.  Instead, to celebrate his success, he’s taken his parents out for dinner and had just a single Bud Light while avoiding the anxious crowds of women that worship his epic rise to fame.

“Linsanity” did later go out with his teammates to a few hotspots in New York, but he was reported to be modest and shy, drinking just one beer, dancing a bit, and avoiding too much female contact. Jeremy Lin also left the club early by walking out the back to avoid the wave of paparazzi that was waiting to jump in on Lin’s newly found fame.

The Tim Tebow of the NBA seems to have everything going for him these past few weeks. And while the world awaits the comeback of Carmelo Anthony to the lineup, to see if Lin’s contributions to basketball will continue to be relevant, Lin is stealing every headline there is.  The rest of the world is rejoicing the new basketball style of play that places emphasis on team as opposed to star play. Every basketball city such as Chicago awaits the arrival of the Knicks just to see how “Jeremy is in it to Lin it.”

The Knicks will be visiting Chicago on March 12th, just in time for Bull’s modest guard Derrick Rose to heal from an injury.  Everyone is quickly hoping in on the most anticipated March event by renting out a Chicago Party Bus.  Chicago’s fan base can’t wait to see the clash between the two most modest players in the NBA and will spend the entire night out partying with their friends before and after the Chicago-New York game.
